40 minutes from Cape Town, 5 minutes from Stellenbosch and 10 minutes from Paarl. We provide an exclusive experience riding our horses among some of South Africa's wild game species in the Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary.

On horseback you can get so much closer to the animals, and feel one with nature. You'll see and learn about various game species (eland, springbok, oryx, blesbok, zebra, red hartebeest, kudu, giraffe and many more.), birds (fish eagles, jackal buzzard, secretary bird, blue crane and a hundred more species) and plants. All with the backdrop of the Boland mountains, including the iconic Table Mountain to the south, Paarl Rock to the north and Hottentots-holland and Drakenstein ranges framing Simonsberg, Stellenbosch- and Helderberg.

Come canter over the grasslands, and wind your way through the forests all the while experiencing some old world wild Africa, in the heart of wine country.

Enjoy some excellent wine tasting and a cellar tour at Villiera Wine Estate and a hearty lunch or supper at Klawervlei's new restaurant.

An hour ride in the surrounding farmlands and wildlife sactuary is R300 for the first hour and R200 for each hour thereafter.

2 hours outride in the game sanctuary is R450.

A longer ride that includes a stop for an exclusive wine tasting at Villiera can be arranged for R550. 

Minimum of 2 people per ride, or single riders pay for two.
